Medical Gloves/Examination Gloves - We offer a variety of Professional Latex and Vinyl Gloves.
Quality gloves with aggressive pricing!
Why wear Gloves at all? The fundamental function of gloves is for barrier protection. It is to protect both the wearer and the patient/client against the transmission of infectious body fluids.
Natural Rubber Latex Gloves made from Natural Rubber Latex (NRL) are known to offer the most cost effective biohazard protection of any glove material available today.
Protein Latex Natural Rubber Latex (NRL) can cause allergic reactions in some individuals. If you are know to have a protein allergy, you should NOT wear any Natural Rubber Latex gloves regardless of how low the total water extractable protein levels are. Latex-sensitive individuals should choose gloves made from non-NRL materials, as their best protection is total avoidance of the allergens to which they are sensitized.
For all other glove wearers who want to minimize the possible effects of wearing Natural Rubber Latex gloves, we offer the following recommendations:
• Avoid wearing powdered NRL gloves which may have higher water extractable protein levels than powder free gloves.
• Always wash your hands after wearing any glove.
Glove Powder Clinical research has shown that the powder used on all disposable gloves (not just NRL gloves) can cause breathing difficulties in certain individuals. We recommend the use of powder free gloves to avoid these potential problems.
