Horn is black and made primarily of keratin, a fibrous material, similar to that of hair and nails.
Bone is white and is composed of the mineral calcium carbonate.
The horn and bone of the Indonesian water buffalo are carved into plugs, jewelry and pendants to celebrate life and fully use each animal that passes away. Similar to what the Native Americans used to do with the Bison.
