Origins
of Our Elementals Collection
Hiking through the hills of Bali on a winding path,
our guide suddenly stops. We are standing a top one hill of the
most beautiful valley we had ever seen, looking down on a small
villiage. We were almost there after a 24 hour plaine ride, 6 hour
bus ride and a 5 hour hike. The viliage (DESA-BAN) where our Elementals
line was originally handcrafted was just an hours hike away.
We were welcomed with a big feast; spit roasted
pg, baked duck, and the native fruits and drinks. After eating and
enjoying the local tribes ceremonies, we were lead to our sleeping
quarters, in a thatch roofed compound made of mud and stone.
In the morning we were taken to the craftsmen who
were going to make our exquisite line of body jewelry, The Elementals
Collection.
It was amazing to see how much time and energy
is put into each piece. The Balinese people are very creative and
this shows in our collection of jewelry from Bali.
