Warranty Information for Painful Pleasures
We have a 30 Day Warranty against manufacturer's defects.
If an item ever arrives broken or defective we will replace the same item
free of charge.
Please Call 410-902-7254 to speak with a Customer Service Representative.
Once you receive approval from a Painful Pleasures CSR you will be given
a RA (Return Authorization) #
Send Back the Broken item in a padded envelope with original invoice and
explanation of the problem. You can write the RA # on the invoice.
Replacements will be sent out the day the damaged merchandise is received.
Note: If you don't tear open your package, you can seal
the envelope back up and simply write RTS and Refused on the package. The USPS will not charge you for this and we will receive the merchandise
back. If you can not do this, please return the merchandise
in a padded envelope and pay for the return shipping to us. For you having
to pay the Return shipping cost, we will send you free jewelry
to cover this inconvience and the small postage cost you incurred.
We try to make every thing as hassle free as possible. Please don't assume
anything, make sure you call us or email us before anything is done on your
part

Customer Satisfaction is very important to us. We will try to come up with
the best possible solution to make you happy.
You must contact us within 7 days upon receipt of your order if you would
like to exchange any items. You may exchange unworn items only.

Have Order Id # ready. This # can be found on your invoice in the top left
corner of the page. It is the first line of text on the invoice.
Once you receive approval from a Painful Pleasures CSR you will be given
a RA (Return Authorization) #
Please send back the merchandise in the padded mailer we shipped your jewelry in with the original invoice
and explanation of what we need to exchange.. You can write the RA # on the
invoice.
Please write clear and be exact. This will help avoid delays of reshipping to you.
When we receive the return from you, we will replace the jewelry and resend
back to you.
Note: Returning items we normally stock is very painless.
If you ordered the wrong size, the wrong color, or the item you ordered turned
out not to be what you expected, we will gladly exchange these items for you. If the item you buy from us for some reason breaks, you can return that item to us for a replacement. Basically on all items we stock, if you don't like, if it breaks (either now, or 2 months from now) you can send it back to us and we will replace.
Sorry we don't offer Refunds on Returns. We can offer you store credit less
the shipping charges.
If you ordered a Custom Made Piece, we can not exchange
this for you. These items are made specifically for you with your requirements
for size and color.
If the problem you are having with the Custom Made Piece is the size is
to long or the gem setting isn't exactly what you imagined, we can work with
you and our jeweler's to cut the jewelry down to size or redo the setting.
Most of the times this can be done at no extra charge. Sometimes though there
will be an extra charge depending on your request.

Retail Shipping with Painful Pleasures
We ship all retail orders using the United States Postal Service or UPS. We ship anywhere in the world that has a valid shipping address. UPS Doesn't Ship on Saturday or Sunday. All Orders Placed on Friday will be Shipped on Monday.
READ: Please do not get mad at us if your order doesn't arrive in the time frame we have listed. The Post Office has been known to take longer then there normal average time. Please Note that the day you place your order isn't necessarily the day we ship your order. We print all orders out at 10:00 am Monday-Friday. If you placed an order after 10:00 your order will be shipped the next day. If after 3 weeks you still haven't received your order from the USPS, Please call us and we will remail your package. We will never leave you without your jewelry, but we have to allow ample time for the USPS to deliver.
Also if you ordered a CUSTOM MADE Piece. This will make the delivery time even longer as we have to make your jewelry. You will never run into this problem with UPS, but they are so much more that we feel its not worth it. We offer it only because we have a lot of requests.

the initial piercing once your piercing is fully healed.
Gauge refers to the thickness of the body jewelry. Length refers to the inside diameter (for rings)
or length (for barbells).

BASICS
IN SIZING
Here you
will find some information on the basics of sizing for the most common types
of body piercing. This is intended to help the new comers in choosing the
correct size of body jewelry. Please keep in mind that when you are initially
pierced you are pierced with a longer piece of jewelry to allow for swelling.
The sizes listed below are for healed piercings. These sizes are the most
common. Please go to our Measuring Tab to learn how to measure Body Jewelry
so you can choose the exact correct length for your piercing.
Ear:
It is very common for people to get there
ear pierced with a piercing gun. If you are one of those people then chances
are your jewelry gauge is either 20g or 18g. Strecthing to a 16g should
be fairly pain free. Lube up your ear with antibacterial soap and water
and with a stainless steel taper, work the taper through the hole.
If you went to a
piercing studio and were pierced with a needle, chances are you have a
14g captive ring in your ear. Common gauges for piercing studios to pierce
ears with range from 18g - 10g. More elaborate ear piercings like the
tragus and rook typically use jewelry that is 5/16", 3/8", or
7/16" in size. Jewelry for the lobes can be just about any size from
1/4" up to 2".
Eyebrow:
The most common gauge for an eyebrow piercing is 16g. Another
common gauge for Eyebrow jewelry is 18g and 14g , although not as popular
these two sizes are still an option. Typical sizes range from 5/16",
3/8", 7/16".
Genitals:
If you have your genitals pierced, then more then likely
you are already familar with the type of jewelry and gauge and size that
you are currently wearing. If you are not, the best bet is to ask your piercer
as to what he recommends for jewelry for your particular piercing
Labret:
This piercing is usally in the center right under the lower
lip. The most common gauge for a labret piercing is 14g. Other gauges
like 18g, 16g, 12g, 10g are not as common but are still options. The thickness
of your lip with determine how long the labret will be. The most common
length is 3/8" while 5/16" and 7/16" are very common as
well. To avoid damaging teeth and gums, it is recommended to wear a shorter
length piece..
Lip:
This piercing is done with a captive bead
ring. Similar to the Labret, typical lip jewelry is 14g. Other gauges like
16g, 12g and 10g are not as common but are still options. The thickness
of your lip will determine the diameter of the captive ring. Most common
size is 7/16".
Navel
- Belly Button: The most common gauge for
navel jewelry is 14g. If you were pierced with a 16g you will have a hard
time finding jewelry other then the basics. The most common size jewelry
for a healed navel is 3/8" or 7/16". Since navel piercing is the
most common piercing, it would only make sense that this should be the most
versatile piece of jewelry. That is why we are the only company to offer
most of our Navel Jewelry in any size length and any size gauge. Since every
one is different we have an endless amount of options for most of our navel
jewelry so you can choose the correct size and gauge to fit you.
Nipple:
The most common gauge to pierce nipples with is 14g or 12g. Females are
normally pierced with 12g and common replacement sizes are 5/8" and
3/4". Males are normally pierced with 14g, but can be pierced with
12g as well and common replacement sizes include 7/16", 1/2",
and 5/8".
Nostril:
The most common gauge to pierce nostrils with is 18g. You can go from 18g
to 20g without a problem. Most common size is 7mm for nose jewelry. If you
would like to have the best possible fit, it is recommended to buy a Fishtail
Nose Jewelry and then bend to fit your specific size.
Septum:
Most common gauge to pierce the septum with is 14 gauge.
Common lengths for the septum include 3/8", 7/16" and 1/2".
Depending on ones particular style will determine the size of the jewelry.
Large Diameters for the Bull Ring look, Small diameters for the discrete
look.
Tongue:
Most common gauge to pierce the tongue with is 14g. 12g is
gaining in popularity along with 10g. We offer all our Tongue jewelry in
any gauge from 14g, 12g, 10g all the way up to 1/2". The most common
size for tongue barbells is 5/8". It is recommended to wear jewelry
that fits perfect in your tongue. Too long of a barbell will knock on your
gums and teeth and will eventually damage them. Too short of a barbell could
result in the tongue actually healing over the balls. Keep in mind that
you are pierced with a longer post (usually 7/8") to allow for swelling.
To help avoid damaging your teeth and gums, you should switch to ashorter
length barbell when the swelling goes down.

Measuring Body Jewelry - Body Piercing Jewelry Measure - Painful Pleasures
MEASURING BODY JEWELRY
1) Gauge - G - refers to the thickness
of the body jewelry, the lower the gauge, the thicker the body jewelry.
2) Length - L - refers to the inside
length between the balls for barbells.
3) Diameter - D - refers to the
inside diameter for rings.
Captive Bead Rings (CBRs
or BCRs) are measured at the largest inside diameter.
You can wear captive rings in almost any piercing.
Circular Barbells
are measured just like a CBR, at the largest inside diameter. You can
also wear Circular Barbells in almost any piercing.
Plugs, Tunnels, Earlets,
Eyelets, etc..are measured by the outside diameter.
This relates to the thickness of your piercing. The length of the tunnel
is measured from rim to rim, which we call the wearable area.
Straight Barbells
are very easy to measure. They are mesured along the shaft between both
balls.
Labrets are
measured along the shaft between the flat disc and ball.
Curved (Bent) Barbells
are measured by the inner length between both balls.
Nose Screws are measured on the
inside of the screw from the bottom of the charm down to the bend.
Nose Bones are measured from the bottom
of the charm to the top of the ball.
Nose Fishtails are measured from the
bottom of the charm all the way to the end.
All of our stock externally threaded jewelry are
made with 14g threading. Which means that anything 14g will fit on 12g,
10g, or 8g shafts.
