A new EU-regulation took effect this week, restricting popular tattoo inks used by artists all over Europe.

The ban restricts the use of 4,000 chemicals, some of which are found in brand-name tattoo and PMU inks. This new legislation is known as REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals).

Industry-leading ink brands are already responding to the ban. These companies are formulating and producing REACH-compliant tattoo inks. Their mission is to offer high-quality inks that meet the demands of the new regulations, allowing European tattoo and permanent makeup artists to continue their work.

All the manufacturers below have already made their REACH-compliant lines available to artists as of January 10th

World Famous Ink is a pioneer in the tattoo industry, creating some of the most popular and high-quality inks on the market.
