Were You Born on the Cusp?
What does it mean to be “born on the cusp”? First, it helps to know what “cusp” means in relation to the Zodiac. It’s the imaginary line that separates a pair of consecutive signs, such as Scorpio and Sagittarius. When someone is born as the sun straddles that imaginary line, they’re said to be “born on the cusp” and thought to possibly be influenced by the characteristics of both signs that fall on either side of their birth date.

Zodiac Elemental Attraction
Astrologers arrange the signs of the Zodiac into four groups, which correspond to the four elements of ancient and medieval philosophy: Fire, Earth, Air and Water. Each of these groups contains three Sun Signs, which are influenced by their element in particular ways. Signs which share the same element will have more insight into and understanding of certain traits of their personalities than do members of other elemental groups.
The Fire Signs: Fire signs are assertive, enthusiastic, energetic and creative. Full of life, warmth and enthusiasm, these individuals have a direct and immediate influence on their surroundings. It is a very forceful combination when two Fire signs meet, as they usually spur each other on in all sorts of ways and make the most of any opportunities that arise. The expansiveness so typical of the Fire signs can result in extravagance when two of them get together. Fire signs are on the same emotional wavelength, and love means a great deal to them. They share a need for a warm, loving relationships and are often very passionate.
The Earth Signs: Earth signs are practical and materially-minded. Innately cautious, careful and restrained, Earth signs have a great deal in common. They like stability and work hard to improve and consolidate their situation in life. When two of them get together, they find it very reassuring to meet someone who shares their down-to-earth outlook. Earth signs are marvelously faithful and will stand by each other through thick and thin. Permanent relationships are very important to them.
The Water Signs: Water signs are governed by powerful emotions, making them intense and sensitive. The best person to understand the needs of a Water sign is another Water sign, for others may interpret their traits as an unwillingness to communicate or even moodiness. In a relationship between two Water signs, emotions are of paramount importance. They can be very protective towards each other, creating a very cozy, caring relationship. However, these strong emotions can also have the opposite effect, leading to games that can destroy the relationship.
The Air Signs: The Air Signs are traditionally the least emotional of the four groups. They tend to value mental compatibility in romance more than passion or looks. They love conversation and discussing their thoughts. But shaping new ideas is generally far more exciting to them than carrying them through. They especially enjoy the company of other Air signs, although they can find it very difficult when it comes to expressing emotions. They also tend to worry about committing themselves to anything or anyone, in case they change their minds later. Air Signs are unhappy in claustrophobic relationships, so they are ideally suited to each other.
Zodiac Love
Traditionally, the planet Venus rules over our relationships, affection and harmony. She took her name from the Roman goddess who presided over beauty, sensuality, the arts, fertility, and money. In astrology, she represents our ability to attract and respond to others. She embodies the highest of our ideals: finding the perfect partner, aesthetic beauty, inner peace, and well-being. She also reflects our struggle to achieve these things.
Aquarians do not like showing their real feelings. An independent nature also means that they take their time to settle into a steady relationship. They find it hard to work up trust, but will remain very faithful once a relationship is established.
When in love, Piceans are filled with aspirations. Often seeking a spiritual life with their partner, they are probably the most romantic sign of the zodiac and can be very caring and sensitive. But the fact that they are dreamers can cause problems since expectations may be too high.
Arians have a heedless attitude to love and are not content with half measures. They are true optimists, refusing to accept defeat, and frequently rush in without thinking when they believe they have found true love. They are sentimental and impulsive, sometimes to the extent of being foolhardy.
Although Taureans do not sweep prospective lovers off their feet, they are incurable romantics and shower their loved ones with gifts. Once in love, they are prepared to make a commitment and remain very faithful.
Gemini lovers keep changing their minds. Their flighty spirit means that they do not like to be tied down. Partners may find them unreliable and a constant source of surprise as they are forever dithering, unable to reach a final decision. Most are also incorrigibly flirtatious.
The Cancerian heart is filled with emotions, but they will only expose them very gradually. Faithful and loyal, Cancerians think carefully before committing themselves to anyone, lest their emotional security is threatened and their trust broken.
Leos spare no expense when courting a new love. They are very demonstrative and loyal, and are almost continually in the throes of passion, remaining very faithful. They only lose their sparkle when love begins to fade.
Virgos are dependable and sincere as lovers, they have few illusions about affairs of the heart. Rather than lavishing affection on their partners, they prefer to show their love in small gestures and are cautious in the extreme about making a first move. They are also often far too down-to-earth to be swept away.
Librans are in love with love. Loving relationships are the center of their world and they expend a great deal of energy achieving harmony. For them, romantic partnerships are virtually an art form, but problems arise because of an innate inability to make a definite binding decision about a relationship.
Scorpios may be cool on the surface, but underneath they are intensely passionate, both physically and emotionally. When love is sweet, they are very loyal, but when things go wrong they may show a sting in their tail.
Sagittarians may plunge into a love affair whole-heartedly, but they do not commit themselves too easily. They enjoy the chase of a new romance and often prefer casual relationships to something more permanent which denies them freedom.
The head rules the heart for Capricorns and they never marry without being totally sure about their partner. They are steady and careful in love rather than being full of surprises, and usually prove to be faithful and trusting lovers. Their ultimate goal in love is to feel secure. |
Zodiac Wealth
Aquarians enjoy having the opportunity to skip from one job to another and hate to be tied down. They like the freedom money brings them, but are more interested in ideals than in being rich.
Arians are pioneers, have to keep moving, and constantly work at setting up new schemes. They have a tremendous need for money, power and influence, but rarely take account of other people’s wishes. Faced with a choice between money and authority, their love of power will usually win out.
Cancerians love collecting things (people, objects and money) and are not very free with their cash, since they tend to feel rather vulnerable without it. Their bank accounts stay healthy just in case of a rainy day.
Capricorns can be very successful financially, but because they are afraid that the good times will not last, they often squirrel away their money and possessions. Fear of losing their building blocks may turn them into misers and hoarders before too long.
Geminis are the thinkers of the zodiac. They are very clever, extremely inventive, and love to spend time dreaming up ideas for new schemes. They will never concentrate on one thing for very long, and they certainly have little time to think seriously about the making of money.
Leos are proud and determined, but their vitality and creativity has a price–that of power. They demand recognition of a distinct ability to make money and to influence how things will proceed.
Librans tend to use their diplomatic skills to sweet-talk others into giving them precisely what they want. They can also be extravagant with their cash, spending it on things that give them pleasure.
Piceans are very much concerned with solving other people’s problems. Mere personal financial problems hardly bother them, even when difficulties over cash flow are potentially serious. Their finances sometimes ebb, with disastrous results.
Sagittarius is a sign of the extremes. Some Sagittitarians see money as their only road to freedom, and so they take big risks; others see it as beneath them, and spend without responsibility. The quest is often for adventure, not cash.
Scorpios can be highly manipulative, and what they crave is power. They have a singular ability to sense a good deal and to exploit a weakness. They will not hesitate to use other people to achieve their own ends.
Taureans are stable, constant and true to themselves. Possessions provide their security, and life is spent in pursuit of what they regard as good things. Sometimes they get carried away by sheer greed.
Virgoans tend to be as organized and meticulous in their financial affairs as they are in other spheres of life. They also like to know exactly what people expect from them for their money. They will work hard at applying their practical minds to the efficient running of a business enterprise.
