Our Limitless custom greeting cards and custom envelopes offer a unique marketing option and upsell opportunity for tattoo and piercing shops. You can use our custom cards to create visually-stunning event invitations, or decorate them with your tattooists’ artwork and sell them as one-of-a-kind greeting cards with matching envelopes that your clients are sure to love. We also offer standard business-sized envelopes that you can brand with your logo and shop information and use to mail out custom flyers, brochures, business letters on matching stationary, and more.
Our custom greeting cards measure 10″ tall x 7″ wide (5″ x 7″ once folded), making them a perfect fit for our 5.25″ x 7.25″ custom envelopes. Our standard business envelopes measure 9.5″ x 4.125″. You can purchase custom greeting cards in minimum batches of 25 cards per design. The two sizes of custom envelopes we offer are sold in batches of 250.
Ready to get started? The process is fairly simple. Just create your artwork, order your custom cards and/or envelopes, email us your graphics, and we’ll have your custom greeting cards, event invitations, card envelopes, or business envelopes shipped out to you within a week. How to Design & Order Custom Greeting Cards
Before you order custom greeting cards, you’ll either need to create your own artwork using our templates as a foundation or hire us to design your custom cards for you for an hourly rate. Either way, you’ll also need to decide if you want your designs to be printed vertically or horizontally on the cards.
If you decide to design your own custom greeting cards or event invitations, you’ll first need to visit the Custom Greeting Cards section of our Product Templates page to choose vertical or horizontal templates in PDF, AI or PSD format. Note that we have separate template files available for both the inside and outside of the cards, so please be sure to download both templates in whichever file format and layout option you choose.
When you open our custom greeting card template files in a program like Photoshop, you’ll need to set the DPI (dots per inch) to 300 when prompted. The default setting is often 72 DPI, which is the standard resolution for web graphics. Printed graphics require a higher resolution than web graphics to ensure that they print crisply and cleanly. We can work with smaller graphics when necessary, but we strongly encourage you to create high-resolution graphics for both the inside and outside of your custom greeting cards so they’ll look awesome once printed. As you design your custom greeting cards or event invitations, pay close attention to the “Cut Line”, “Safe Zone” and “Fold Line” indicators in our greeting card templates. The “Cut Line” shows you where your graphics will be cut off when your custom cards are printed. 
Ideally, nothing of importance (words or images) should extend beyond the “Safe Zone” lines, but background colors should go all the way to the edges (just past the “Cut Line”) to ensure full bleed to the edges of the cards. The “Fold Line” represents where your graphics will be creased after the printed cards are folded in half, so you should think carefully about what graphics you have overlap that line, if any.
Once you’ve finalized your greeting card or invitation designs, you can place your order. Just go to our custom greeting cards page, select “coated” or “uncoated” to indicate the finishing you want for your custom cards, choose the quantity of cards you wish to order, add your comments to the “Customer Notes” field, and then click the “Add to Cart” button. If you want us to print, say, 25 cards with one design and 25 with another, be sure to specify that in the “Customer Notes” field before adding to cart.
After placing your custom greeting card order, you can email your graphics files to us at support@painfulpleasures.com, Attn: Graphics Dept. Please include your order number along with any special instructions for our graphics team in the message body. Once you’ve submitted your graphics, please allow us up to a week to print and ship your custom greeting cards to you.
How to Design & Order Custom Envelopes
We offer custom envelopes in two sizes: 9.5″ x 4.125″ and 5.25″ x 7.25″. If you’re ordering custom envelopes to pair with custom greeting cards, choose the 5.25″ x 7.25″ option. For standard business envelopes that you can use to mail out brochures, flyers, business letters, or other print marketing materials, choose the 9.5″ x 4.125″ option.
Once you decide what size envelope you want to order, you’ll need to either hire us to design your custom envelopes for you or create your own graphics. Your design can be as simple as your logo and business address on the front or back of the envelopes or as complex as graphics that cover the envelopes in their entirety and coordinate with your custom greeting card designs. If you decide to prep the graphics yourself, you’ll need to download a product template first. Just go to the Envelopes section of our Product Templates page, look for the section that corresponds with the envelope size you want, and download a template in PDF, AI or PSD format to get started.
When you open your chosen envelope template in a program like Photoshop, be sure to set the DPI (dots per inch) to 300 when prompted. Lower-resolution graphics are not guaranteed to print as sharply, so we strongly encourage you to use only high-resolution graphics in your custom envelope designs. Please pay close attention to the “Cut Line”, “Safe Zone” and “Fold Line” indicators as you design the graphics for your custom envelopes. Nothing but solid colors or designs you don’t mind having cut off should extend past the “Cut Line” and “Safe Zone” indicators in particular. The fold line will also impact your graphics, so it’s an equally important consideration during the design process. Artwork and text above the top fold line and below the bottom fold line should be flipped upside-down so they display properly once the envelopes are folded.
Tip: If you plan to cover your envelopes with graphics that coordinate with your custom greeting cards, keep in mind that people will need to be able to write names and/or addresses on the front of the envelopes. You may want to make your design semi-opaque or add a blank or bordered rectangle or oval of white space on the front of the cards so they can be easily addressed.
After you complete your custom envelope design, you can visit our Standard Envelopes page to place your order. Just select the size envelope you want and the number you want printed, add any relevant notes to the “Customer Notes” field, and click the “Add to Cart” button. Once you’ve submitted your order, you can email us your graphic files. Be sure to put “Attention: Graphics Dept.” in the subject line, and include your order number and any special instructions in the body of your email. Once we’ve received your order and graphics files, we’ll make your custom envelopes to order in our Hanover, Maryland, Print & Design Center. Please allow us up to one week to process your order and ship your custom envelopes to you.
