Our collection of wooden plugs, tunnels, and gauges features high-quality handcrafted jewelry, offering a look that’s simultaneously natural, edgy, and sophisticated.

Types of Wooden Jewelry for Gauged Ears

Large-gauge wooden jewelry lets you sport a natural look in your stretched piercings. While the term “gauges” is often used to refer to any large-gauge jewelry, more accurate terms are plugs (which are solid pieces of jewelry) and tunnels (which are hollow). From there, you can break these categories down further into types of wood and individual designs. Browse through our collection for a full picture of the types of wooden gauges, plugs, and tunnels available. Whether you’re after a strikingly simple solid wood plug or a wooden tunnel with a delicate dangling charm or carving, we have a piece to match your aesthetic.

Wood Gauges

Some highlights of our collection of wood gauges include our Elementals Organics and Elementals Evolved lines. Elemental Organics features intricately-designed wooden gauges that are handmade by talented artists in Indonesia. The Elementals Evolved line allows you to fully customize your wooden ear plugs or tunnels by choosing the gauge, style, and type of wood. We'll then handcraft your custom wooden plugs to your specifications in our Hanover, Maryland, workshop.

Wooden Ear Plugs

From moody dark-stained wood to light, natural finishes to decorative carvings, you have a ton of options for wooden ear plugs – and you can find them all here.

Wood Tunnels

Wood tunnels can be worn completely hollow or adorned with open carvings and dangling charms. If you’re after an airy-yet-earthy vibe, nearly any style of wooden tunnels hits the mark.

How to Clean Wooden Ear Gauges & Plugs

Because wood can stretch, warp, and become misshapen when it’s submerged in water, we recommend never soaking your wooden plugs or tunnels and never wearing them to swim or shower. As needed, you can wipe away dried lymph fluid (aka the crusties) with a damp cloth. Make sure to let them thoroughly air dry afterward before storing.

And be sure to add a bottle of jojoba oil to your cart as well – periodically massaging a small amount of jojoba into your wooden plugs will maintain moisture, prevent cracking, and keep your wooden gauges looking like new.
