Mad Rabbit tattoo aftercare promises bolder, more vibrant tattoos. Ever since its debut in season 12, episode 18 of Shark Tank, the product line has gotten rave reviews.
You’ve probably come across Mad Rabbit on Instagram or in YouTube ads. And you’ve got to be asking yourself… is it any good? After all, with so many tattoo aftercare products out there, it can be hard to know which is best for tattoo healing.
Well, we’ve tried Mad Rabbit, and so have countless other professional artists. Here’s everything you need to know before you decide if it’s the right tattoo care for your clients.
A Full Product Line
For one thing, Mad Rabbit is more than just one catch-all tattoo aftercare product. This brand gives you three aftercare treatments for all tattoos, new and old.
Soothing Gel
Mad Rabbit tattoo aftercare reviews are in, and some are even saying the Soothing Gel is “made by unicorns.” The positive feedback could be an ode to Soothing Gel’s non-greasy, ultra-light application. Additionally, Soothing Gel does exactly what it promises to do: soothes new tattoos with a cooling sensation. A nice cool gel takes away some of the dreaded tattoo itch, and your clients will be less likely to scratch or pick at scabs.
SPF 30 Sunscreen
Tattoo sunscreen is a must for preserving your work. It’s a great product to recommend to your clients for sunnier seasons. Also, it’s good to have on hand no matter the season as a rule of thumb for tattoo care. Mad Rabbit’s SPF 30 Sunscreen has the same non-greasy or oily application as the soothing gel. On top of that, it protects your ink from harmful UV rays.
Tattoo Balm
Effective on new or existing tattoos, this tattoo balm is like magic and makes tattoos pop right off the skin. Its brightening effects are noticeable with daily use, but some clients claim to see a difference right away. Check out before and after shots on Mad Rabbit’s Instagram page for proof of its power. Oh, and by the way, Mad Rabbit Tattoo Balm also smells incredible. Choose from Cucumber, Vanilla & Coconut, or Frankincense & Lavender scents. Tattoo care is always more fun when it smells great.
A Peek at Mad Rabbit’s Formula
Mother Nature turns up in every single one of Mad Rabbit’s products. Let’s see the benefits these naturally sourced products can offer.
No Petroleum = Better Airflow
The Soothing Gel’s ultra-light application is all thanks to its aloe-based formula. You won’t find any petroleum jelly in here. As a result, Soothing Gel doesn’t clog or suffocate tattoos – instead it gives them plenty of breathability, so your work heals beautifully. Aside from aloe, Soothing Gel is also packed with other natural ingredients. Emollients like shea butter, sweet almond oil, and cocoa butter work together to moisturize skin and improve blood flow to the tattoo site.
Emollients for Hydration and Blood Flow
The same can be said for SPF 30 Sunscreen. Rich in vitamin E and carrot extract, this sunscreen hydrates the skin and helps with cell regeneration. That makes it perfect for waging war against the sun’s harmful rays. Also, this robust sunscreen contains chamomile (no, not the tea — the flower). Extract from the chamomile flower helps calm the dryness, itchiness, and redness that all come with a new tattoo. And by the way… chamomile is also known to brighten the skin, making this an excellent choice for existing tattoos that have lost some shine. Recommend Mad Rabbit’s SPF 30 Sunscreen to clients for long-term tattoo care.
Ingredients that Brighten Skin and Slow Aging
And speaking of enhanced tattoos, let’s talk about the naturally enriched Mad Rabbit Tattoo Balm. This is the real good stuff. It has been specifically designed to brighten tattoos no matter how old. Mad Rabbit Tattoo Balm ingredients are similar to what’s in the Soothing Gel, including shea and cocoa butter. But you’ll also find frankincense, which is known to rejuvenate and de-age the skin. Additionally, ingredients like cucumber and beeswax hydrate and attract water molecules to brighten things up. Recommend this to your repeat-clients, and your work will stand out on every canvas.
On top of natural ingredients and a full selection of products, you can’t ignore Mad Rabbit’s packaging. These stylish black-and-white tubs and bottles will look amazing on your studio shelves. After all, if it’s catching eyes on Instagram, it’s sure to catch your clients’ eyes in person. The full selection of Mad Rabbit is available now on our PainfulPleasures Web store.
And one things for sure – the Mad Rabbit tattoo aftercare reviews are shining. Offer your clients the right products to make your work pop (no matter how old).

They’re untrustworthy. I placed an order at their website and received it. Then I received an identical order a few days later. I informed them and they asked me to return the items I didn’t order and said I would receive a 20% refund on my original order and reimbursement of the return shipping. I did as they asked and now that they have the products back, they won’t reimburse me for the shipping and are ignoring my multiple emails. The business is trash!
