Pretty, but... "These plugs are very pretty and lightweight. The threads on the back and ends are well cast and don't slip or loosen. Unfortunately, the acrylic coating over the abalone part is quite soft and develops defects fairly quickly (within a few days). For someone like me, who tends to play with their jewelry, feeling an uneven, bumpy surface instead of a smooth surface is unpleasant.
