- Question: French hook and stud are two styles of jewelry often worn in which type of piercing?
Answer: French hook earrings and stud earrings are most often worn in earlobe piercings. Studs are sometimes worn in cartilage piercings, too, but labret studs are a better option.
- Question: What two styles of body jewelry are most popular for eyebrow piercings?
Answer: Bent barbells and captive bead rings are the most popular styles of jewelry to wear as eyebrow rings.

- Question: Piercers typically offer one of two styles of starter jewelry for cartilage piercings (including helix, rook and daith piercings). What are the options?
Answer: Captive rings and labret studs are the most popular options for all ear cartilage piercings except for industrial piercings, which typically call for industrial barbells.
- Question: Two columns of rings may be placed side-by-side in someone's back, neck, side, calf, and other locations on the body in preparation for which type of piercing?
Answer: Corset piercings, which are typically temporary piercings, require inserting two columns of rings side-by-side, with some space in between so that a piece of ribbon can be threaded through them in a crisscross pattern. - Question: What are the two most popular styles of jewelry to wear in stretched earlobes and other stretched piercings?
Answer: Plugs and tunnels are the two most popular styles of jewelry to wear in stretched piercings, including stretched earlobe piercings, lip piercings, nostril piercings, and others. Take a bonus point if you also listed ear weights, which are not in the Types of Body Jewelry list above.
- Question: Can dermal tops be worn with any other types of jewelry besides dermal anchors? If so, which ones?
Answer: If your answer was that dermal tops can be used with surface barbells in addition to dermal tops, give yourself a point. If you wrote down that dermal tops can typically be worn with any internally-threaded body jewelry in the same gauge (e.g. straight barbells, circular barbells and labret studs), give yourself a bonus point.
- Question: What style of body jewelry is considered an eyebrow ring even though it isn't actually a ring?

- Question: What's the most popular style of jewelry worn in upper ear cartilage piercings when they're done as a pair, with two holes spaced an inch-and-a-half or so apart?
Answer: The description above is that of an industrial piercing, so you'd wear an industrial barbell in it. You could also wear a labret stud or a hoop of any variety in each hole.
- Question: Which types of jewelry can you wear in nipple piercings?
Answer: Nipple shields, D-rings, captive bead rings, straight barbells, bent barbells, segment rings, and seamless rings can all be worn in nipple piercings. Septum retainers make good nipple piercing jewelry, too, but don't mark your answer as wrong if you didn't list that, bent barbells or D-rings, since these are less popular options for nipple piercing jewelry.
- Question: D-rings are a popular style of jewelry for which two piercing types?
Answer: D-rings are sometimes worn in both nipple piercings and frenum piercings placed close to the head of the penis.
- Question: What type of jewelry is a piercer most likely to suggest for a hand web piercing?
Answer: A labret stud would be the ideal jewelry for a hand web piercing, but a short straight barbell is also an option.
- Question: Straight barbells are often standard starter jewelry for which types of male genital piercings (e.g. frenum piercings and dydoe piercings)?
Answer: Straight barbells in a variety of lengths are used in dydoe piercings, ampallang piercings, and frenum piercings (including all variations of frenum piercings, like dorsal frenums, lorum piercings, and Jacob's Ladders). Once healed, a man may choose to wear a Prince Albert wand in his PA piercing. - Question: What are your starter jewelry options when you get a septum piercing?
Answer: Your piercer might offer you a septum retainer, a septum ring in a seamless ring style, a segment-style ring, or a captive bead ring (i.e. "bull ring") as your septum piercing starter jewelry.
- Question: What types of jewelry can you wear once your septum piercing is fully healed?
Answer: Once your septum piercing is fully healed, you can either begin stretching so you can wear a septum tusk later, or you can switch to one of our pretty hinged or seamless-style septum rings.
- Question: Labret studs aren't just for labret piercings. What other piercings are labret studs often worn in?
Answer: Labret studs can be worn in a wide variety of piercings besides labret piercings, including helix piercings, anti-tragus piercings, tragus piercings, earlobe piercings, nostril piercings, other lip piercings like Monroe piercings, and hand web piercings.
- Question: Which style of jewelry is typically worn in HCH piercings?
Answer: Unlike a VCH piercing, in which you can wear either a bent barbell or a captive ring, you're mostly limited to a captive ring of some variety when it comes to horizontal clitoral hood piercings (a.k.a. HCH piercings).
- Question: What's the ideal jewelry to use for cheek piercings?
Answer: There's a special style of labret stud with a long shaft that makes the best cheek piercing starter jewelry. Short barbells may also be used. Once you heal, you can typically switch to a shorter labret stud, if desired.
- Question: Septum piercing retainers can also make great retainers for which other type of piercing?
Answer: Septum retainers also make good nipple piercing jewelry.
- Question: When a lip ring isn't a ring, what type of jewelry is it?
Answer: Lip "rings" that aren't actually rings are typically labret studs. If you have a stretched lip piercing, you might wear a plug instead of a stud or ring. Did you know that most of our plugs are sold individually, so you can buy one for a single streched facial piercing and a pair to match for your stretched lobes? - Question: What type of piercings might you wear a twister in?
Answer: You can wear a simple single-loop twister in a navel piercing, lip piercing, earlobe piercing or helix piercing. If you have double or triple cartilage piercings in a row, you can thread a multi-loop twister through and connect the holes.
- Question: Captive rings are a popular style of jewelry for which two types of male genital piercings, of the ones listed above?
Answer: PA piercings, or Prince Albert piercings, scrotum piercings and pubic piercings are the three male genital piercings in which a man can wear captive rings or other hoops like seamless and segment rings.
- Question: Which two styles of body jewelry are often classified as captive rings even though they don't hold a bead captive?
Answer: Segment rings and seamless rings are often classified as captive rings. A segment ring just holds a removable segment of ring captive instead of a bead, and a seamless ring is basically just a captive ring minus the bead. Give yourself an extra point if you mentioned daith rings, too, since many daith rings are actually a type of seamless ring.
- Question: In which type of facial piercing might a piercer insert either dermal anchors or a short surface barbell?
Answer: Anti-eyebrow piercings can be done using either dermals or surface barbells.

- Question: Christina piercing jewelry is actually what style of body jewelry?
Answer: A Christina piercing barbell is actually just a type of surface barbell.
- Bonus Question (Give yourself 2 points if you get this one right!): Our Unbreakable Body Jewelry line is making a third type of jewelry popular for daith and rook piercings (in addition to the 2 answers from #7). Do you know what that style of jewelry is (not the name of a specific product)? (Hint: Our daith hearts are technically this type of jewelry.)
